This year I decided to use my kids' watercolor paintings as gift tags. We spent an afternoon with some watercolor, salt, and pencils to make several cardstock "paintings." Then as I wrapped, I cut them into smaller pieces, hole-punched them and tied them on with pretty ribbon or yarn. I like the way it turned out!

Common Prayer Songs
A link to every song found in the book "Common Prayer: A Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals"
All Creatures of Our God and King
Amazing Grace
Be Thou My Vision
Come, Thou Fount
Come, Ye Sinners
Doxology
Fairest Lord Jesus
Freedom Train
Gloria
Glory, Glory, Hallelujah
Go, Tell It on the Mountain
Great is Thy Faithfulness
Guide My Feet
Holy, Holy, Holy
It is Well with My Soul
I Want Jesus to Walk with Me
I Will Trust in the Lord
Jesus, Help Us Live in Peace
The Kingdom of God
Lamb of God
Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence
Magnificat
May the Peace of the Lord Christ Go with You
Nothin' But the Blood
Oh the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus
O Lord, Have Mercy
O Lord, Hear My Prayer
O Lord, Let My Soul Rise Up to Meet You
O Mary, Don't You Weep
Our Father
Poor Wayfaring Stranger
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
Servant Song
Sing, O Sky (Gaao Re)
Sing and Rejoice
Solid Rock
Steal Away to Jesus
Swing Low, Sweet Chariot
Take My Life and Let It Be
This Little Light of Mine
Ubi Caritas
Vamos Todos al Banquete
Walk in the Light
Waters of Babylon
We Are Marching in the Light of God
Were You There?
We Shall Not Be Moved
We Shall Overcome
What is This Place?
What Wondrous Love
When the Saints Go Marching In
Woke Up This Mornin'

Kid's Christmas Party
I'm planning to have a Christmas party for my kids and their friends. Here are some inspiring ideas for what to have, do, make, and play!
I'd love to do a photo booth when they first arrive. The background should be wrapping paper. Have a high stool (so they can't run away as quickly!) They should wear a Santa hat! Maybe the girls could wear a headband with a shiny bow.
Let the kids mix glitter into white playdough to make snow playdough.
Have a cookie bar set up with cookies already baked. Use frostings and sprinkles. Cover everything with a vinyl tablecloth.

Then stow the cookies in these cute rudolph sacks to take home.

DIY Gift Wrap
This year I'm going to try out making my own wrapping paper. Well, maybe with a little 1-year-old and 3-year old help. Here are some inspirations!
Use magazines, maps, phone books, or newspapers for the paper and the bow.
Paint pen on kraft paper.
I just love the grey and white wrapping. I'm pretty sure this is going to be under my tree this year. White paper for my husband's family, grey paper for my family.
Use magazines, maps, phone books, or newspapers for the paper and the bow.
Paint pen on kraft paper.
Or draw a bow on the package. :)
Just plain kraft paper tied up with string. This is so minimal and makes me so happy!
